Oral presentation

Oral presentation is the process of presenting a topic to an audience. It is typically a demonstration, introduction, lecture or speech meant to inform, persuade, inspire, motivate or present a new idea or product. Language scientists defined an oral presentation as “(…) partly spoken, partly visual form of communication” and it is normally limited in time and occurs in an organized setting. This text discusses why oral presentations are important in a foreign language classroom, especially for university students who may struggle with language communication.
