The research aims to determine if implementing Independent Reading can assist students in enhancing their English reading comprehension. The study utilized a quasi-experimental approach with pre-test and post-test assessments. The participants were second-year students from As'adiyah Putra 1 Sengkang. The experimental group, treated with Independent Reading, showed higher post-test mean scores compared to the control group, suggesting a significant difference in English reading comprehension.
